Lately “A snake and a cup” symbol of medicine and chemistry was placed in a wonderful little park at the crossing between Rentgena and Lva Tolstogo streets. The symbol is very ancient but in different times it looked different. In 1924 the snake embracing the cup foot and bowing her head over the cup was confirmed as a symbol of military medicine in USSR. The park is situated near the first Medical institute, so the choice of the place is evident.

Address: Rentgena Street.

How to reach: Petrogradskaya metro station.
