From the very point on Lieutenant Shmidt Embankment the 2 “Philosophy ships” were launched in 1922. They took abroad more than 160 prominent figures of Russian science and culture.

How to reach: on foot from metro station “Vasileostrovskaya” or “Nevsky prospect”.
