One more Flashmob took place on August, the 27th at the Spit of Vasilevsky Island, as soon as it got dark and not scary. The weather was favourable: it was warm as in summer; a light breeze was blowing and no rain at all.
The meeting was appointed at 10pm, the mass launch of the sky lanterns (the Airships of Wishes) was due at 10:30 on a the flashmob organizers’ signal. But, as it happens, people were coming from 9 till the last lantern; consequently the first lanterns rose into the sky long before the appointed time.
Yet the most organized and disciplined participants waited until the specified moment and when it finally came the August sky over Petersburg was fabulously illuminated with hundreds of lights. Together with them the numerous wishes rose into the evening sky – they certainly will come true!
