Everyone is aware of the cats in the Hermitage. They even have got their own IDs with their pictures. And at the end of March the Hermitage organizes March Cat Day. If any of the cats dies, the museum staff members take it almost as ancient Egyptians did. But still there are lots of cats. And there are lots of people moving around, sometimes by car. The speed limit on the territory of the museum is 4 km/hour, so there are road signs “Beware of cats” for those ones who break the speed limit.
