It appears as if Gulliver once walking along this house lost his shoe, and dexterous residents have adapted it like this. Long could it be pleasing to the eye, but ... What happened we’ll never know. It remains only to admire the old photograph.

Address: 49, 6th line, Vasilievsky Island.

How to reach: from Vasileostrovskaya metro station 5 minutes’ walk.
